EASTER SUNDAY GOSPEL REFLECTION: CAN’T BE KILLED

READINGS AT MASS

Acts 10:34, 37-43

Psalm 118

Col. 3:1-4

John 20:1-9

Dear friends in Christ, N’wokafu YESU KRISTO…

Beloved in Christ, this morning we gather in joy and reverence to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ – the very foundation and heartbeat of our Christian faith. Jesus was crucified; He endured suffering, humiliation, and death on the Cross. He was laid in a tomb, sealed away as though His story had come to an end. Yet, on the third day, He rose again in glory, conquering sin and death. This profound event remains one of the greatest and most sacred mysteries of our faith – a mystery not merely to be understood, but to be lived and experienced

The Resurrection reminds us that some things cannot be destroyed. Light, love, and goodness may be buried, but they can never be extinguished. Truth and justice may be opposed, but they can never be defeated. The great lesson of Easter is this: there are realities that are indestructible. No matter how hard we try to suppress them, they will rise again.

As we rejoice in the victory of Easter, let us take comfort in this assurance: through the Resurrection of Christ, the world can no longer take certain things from us. It may bury us, but it cannot extinguish our light. It may take our lives, but it cannot take away the life we have in Him.

Therefore, let us live as people of the resurrection – people of hope, courage, and unwavering faith. Let us carry the light that cannot be extinguished, love that cannot be overcome, and truth that cannot be silenced. And may the risen Christ continue to renew our hearts, strengthen our spirits, and lead us into the fullness of life He has promised.

Alleluia! Christ is risen. He is risen indeed!

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, may the power of your resurrection give me the strength to live courageously for you, knowing that my life is hidden in you.

Amen.

May God bless you.
