St. Cecilia Media was officially launched on Sunday, 7th March 2021 at St. Cecilia Parish, Ho-Dome. The launch was led by Rev. Fr. Anthony Mawuli Ahiabor, who served as the Associate Parish Priest and Chairman of the Media and Communication Committee at the time. The establishment of the media team came at a critical period during the COVID-19 pandemic, when restrictions on public gatherings made it necessary for the Church to adopt digital means of worship and communication.

The formation of the media team was made possible through fundraising efforts within the parish community. The funds raised were used to acquire essential equipment such as cameras, audio systems, and streaming devices to support the live broadcast of Holy Masses, prayer services, and other parish activities. This initiative ensured that parishioners who were unable to attend church physically could still participate in spiritual activities through social media platforms.

The team is composed of dedicated, energetic, and self-motivated individuals who share a strong commitment to serving the Church. Their primary goal is to bridge the communication gap between the clergy and the congregation by ensuring that information flows effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner. Through their service, they have helped strengthen parish unity and improved engagement among members, both locally and abroad.

In addition to live streaming of church services, St. Cecilia Media introduced a Weekly Bulletin system. This bulletin serves as an important communication tool that outlines upcoming church programmes, announcements, liturgical schedules, and other parish-related activities. It helps parishioners stay informed and actively participate in Church life.

Furthermore, the team developed an online parish database. This digital system stores important information about parish groups, societies, members, and activities. Beyond its administrative function, the database also serves as an income-generating initiative for the parish. The revenue generated is used to support the development projects of the Church, ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement in parish operations.

Overall, St. Cecilia Media has become an essential arm of the parish, contributing not only to evangelisation through modern communication tools but also to the administrative and financial growth of the Church community.
